Emissions from municipal operations

The City tracks its own buildings, fleet, and facilities separately from the communitywide inventory. Almost all remaining municipal building emissions come from natural gas, since Hetch Hetchy Power supplies zero-emission electricity; the plan's municipal actions electrify equipment at replacement and move the fleet to zero-emission vehicles.

119,656 mtCO₂e in FY2024, 36% below FY2009 (185,665). Partial fiscal years are omitted.
